"Physics Problem Book" by O. Ya. Savchenko
There is hardly any physics fan in the world who hasn't ever heard about the "Physics Problem Book" edited by O. Savchenko. The project was sponsored by Ayb Educational Foundation, owner of the rights to translating and publishing the book, and now the renowned problem book is available also in Armenian. The book is translated with the efforts of physicists – Gagik Grigoryan, head of the Ayb subject group, Candidate of PhysMath Sciences, Senior Scientist at Yerevan Physics Institute; associate professors Eyler Youzbashyan and Jirayr Ninoyan, Candidates of PhysMath Sciences. The first Armenian edition was published in 500 copies. Ayb intends to increase the circulation up to 2,000 copies.
The book comprises over 2,200 problems from those offered at the physics-mathematics school of the Novosibirsk State University. Special attention is paid to the parts, which are important for future university students. The book is good for optional classes, for preparation for Olympiads, and is intended for physics teachers and high school students. Solutions to problems are offered, too.
The book is available at the A. Shahinian Physics-Mathematics Special School in Yerevan.
